A whimsical VR archery game where you, as a toy, must navigate a cardboard kingdom to return to your owner. Use your bow to battle creative enemies, face epic bosses, and explore a charming, handcrafted world.

As the lead level designer on BOXED FORTRESS: Defend the Throne, I was responsible for crafting engaging environments that followed a toy's journey through various household rooms. These included a vibrant kid's room, a basement with an RPG table in the middle of a game, and a cluttered garage, each offering unique challenges and new enemies. My design process focused on making each room feel distinct while maintaining gameplay flow and immersion. In my subsequent role as the game's aesthetic designer, I took inspiration from comic books, using bold, simple colors and materials. To enhance the visual style, I incorporated a black outline around all game objects, which added a striking and cohesive look to the entire game world. This approach not only gave the game a unique personality but also emphasized clarity and readability during gameplay.

In addition to designing the levels and aesthetics, I was also responsible for developing custom shader graphs to enhance the game's visual effects. I created shaders for enemy portals, wood textures for the floors, and the signature black outlines around game objects. I also designed dissolving materials, adding dynamic transitions and effects that contributed to the game's comic book-inspired visual style. These shaders played a key role in elevating the game's immersive quality while ensuring visual consistency across all assets.
